Colorectal Cancer Screening

Fecal immunochemical test (FIT) is used for detecting invisible hemoglobin in red blood cells on the surface of stool. The principle of FIT is antigen-antibody reaction which has specificity to human hemoglobin in lower digestive tract. When the test result shows significant level of hemoglobin, it may be a sign of bleeding caused from gastrointestinal diseases.

OC SENSOR. (Japan)

Eiken Chemical launched sales of fully automated FIT analyzer in 1989. Since then, we have been developing automated FIT system “OC-SENSOR” for 30 years worldwide. Approximately 100 million tests are performed per year in more than 45 countries. OC-SENSOR has been used in many academic publications and national guidelines

In some countries, national guidelines recommend fecal immunochemical test (FIT) as a method of population based screening for colorectal cancer. In the recommendation statement of U.S. Preventive Service Task Force, OC-Sensor is mentioned as “the best test performance characteristics”

Dual Aluminum Seal Prevents accidental leakage for improved hygiene

Integrated Filter Removes fecal matter from sample solution through the squeeze filtration process

Sample Buffer Stabilizes the sample for an extended period

Flat Surface Allows for easy writing of patient information

Scraper Ensures accurate quantitative results by removing excess feces in the chamber

Probe Groove Provides smooth and precise sampling of 10mg feces

Hollow Cap Easy to open and close, preventing sample leakage and contamination hazards

Unique Squeeze Filtration Process Only filtered sample solution is dispensed for analysis. This mechanism minimizes carry-over and analyzer maintenance, as well as helps achieve high reproducibility
